Silver Bay Marina
Your safe harbor
on Lake Superior for a day or for a season.
The State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and
the U.S. Corps of Engineers completed construction of the first harbor
of refuge/marina on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The Marina opened
in August of 1999. The marina is owned by the Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources and is managed by the City of Silver
Bay.
Where are we?
The facility is located on the scenic North Shore of Lake
Superior approximately
55 miles northeast of Duluth, Minnesota on U.S. Highway 61. GPS
Coordinates are: Two blocks out at 47.16.00 North by 91.16.00

When are we open?
The approximate marina season is May
15 to October 15, but dependent upon weather conditions. Hours
of operation are 8
a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days per week (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. after
Labor Day).
Overnight to longterm rental. (We keep 40 slips for
trancient boaters.)

Sewer pump-outs
Gasoline & diesel sales
Heated restrooms and showers
Laundry facilities
Concession stand
Boat and trailor dry storage (we do not have a boat
lift-out at this time).
